Join the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)
Why Join MOAA?
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is the nation’s largest association of military officers. MOAA is dedicated to preserving the earned benefits of America’s military officers and their families. As a member, you’ll gain access to a wide range of benefits and resources and will allow you to:
- Make Yourself Heard – The Coronado Chapter provides grassroots coordination and support for MOAA’s national legislative agenda. MOAA is in the fight to preserve our benefits. Chapter members let their legislators know what’s on their minds with the strength of MOAA developed data behind us.
- Give Back to the Community – We serve as MOAA’s ambassadors in local communities. Members continue “officership” service and are giving back in the truest sense of the word.
- Expand Social Opportunities – Coronado Chapter sponsors programs and opportunities to interact with civic, political, military, and business leaders.
- Network With Fellow Officers – Our membership includes second-career members in the work force and retired service members who have contacts in their communities that can be valuable to transitioning officers.
- Stay Informed – Our newsletter (The Heliogram), website http://www.moaacoronado.org/, and meetings provide you with the latest information on local, state, and national issues and changes to military benefits.
- Influence State Legislation – Arizona’s Council of Chapters unites our chapters to lobby for and pass state level legislation that affects military members and their families, such as exempting military retired pay from Arizona income tax or increasing funding for Arizona’s veterans’ programs.
- Find Camaraderie With a Purpose – The Coronado Chapter unites active duty, former, and retired officers from every branch of service. This gives you opportunities to connect with other members with similar backgrounds and interests and develop lasting friendships.
